The Lighthouse Montessori Farm School Project is an educational opportunity geared toward teaching our community and families agricultural awareness. The Lighthouse School's goal is to build a Farm School that provides activities and learning opportunities that are now absent from most children's lives and which will include:
Lighthouse Montessori School gives families and students the opportunity to learn and experience a farm-based community and be immersed in agricultural and nature lessons in a warm, family-friendly environment. Farm life and nature are abundant throughout the grounds, providing for hands-on exploration and learning in an outdoor/indoor environment.
Community families are welcome to visit the farm, learn about the farming process, and participate in activities of animal care and agriculture. It is the first farm school of its kind in Idaho to fully implement Dr. Montessori's "Education for Life" model. Learning and work emphasize experience in:

Our goal is to help prepare students for life — to extend their work to the wider community and to the land. Together we are working to build a sustainable model of education, create a warm and loving home-like environment, and engage in the full cycle and seasons of farm life.
