Where children love learning!
Lighthouse Montessori Farm School is a private, independent school serving children ages 18 months through Kindergarten. Although we serve preschool aged children, we are very different than the typical daycare or preschool program. Each child at Lighthouse Montessori Farm School, regardless of age, is enrolled in a learning program that is designed for their individual needs. Before and after school care is available for working parents.
Kindergarteners attending half day at public school will be enriched by attending our morning or afternoon kindergarten sessions. Transportation available from select schools.
Our sister school, Lighthouse Elementary, is a private, independent, non-profit school for children in 1st through 6th grades. Children attending our elementary program are allowed to progress at their individual pace through our enriched and highly interactive curriculum.
Our goal at LMFS is to educate the whole person through the Montessori approach which addresses the intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of each child. Our caring staff and low student - teacher ratios ensure that all Lighthouse Montessori students have easy access to their teachers, have a curriculum customized to meet their individual educational needs and are learning at their own accelerated pace.
The philosophy of the Lighthouse Montessori Farm School community is the encouragement of the child's interest and curiosity, and the development of responsible, independent thinking that fosters a life-long love of learning.
One of the greatest strengths of the school is the trained and qualified teachers who take a personal interest in their students and parents. They care about the whole person and see education as much more than simply the training of fine mines. These dedicated teachers form the foundation of a caring community in which children develop and learn to become responsible, loving human beings.
